As part of the António Pargana Foundation’s programme in partnership with Instituto Superior Técnico, students took part in a day of visits designed to strengthen their engagement with the business community and the innovation ecosystem.
The morning was spent at Logoplaste, where students had the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into one of the world’s leading companies in the design, development, and manufacture of rigid plastic packaging. During the visit, they learned about the company’s production processes, technological solutions, and its approach to innovation and sustainability. The programme also included a discussion with Logoplaste professionals, who shared their experiences and provided valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.
In the afternoon, the group visited DNA Cascais, an organisation dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and business development. Students were introduced to the organisation’s business incubation and acceleration programmes, heard examples of entrepreneurial ventures, and explored the role of innovation in creating economic and social value. The session also provided an overview of the different stages of building a startup and the resources available to help transform an idea into a successful business.
The initiative offered students another valuable opportunity to engage with the realities of the business world while developing skills that will support their future careers.
The programme will resume next academic year with many exciting new opportunities.
