Aimed at students of Portuguese descent and Portuguese speakers, one of the programme’s main challenges involves the development of an individual creative project

The programme “Portugal Through the Eyes of the Young Diaspora” began this Wednesday, 8 April, an initiative organised by the António Pargana Foundation in partnership with the University of Beira Interior.

Aimed at students of Portuguese descent and Portuguese speakers, the programme aims to encourage in-depth reflection on Portuguese identity, national culture and the relationship with the diaspora, whilst fostering critical thinking and creativity among participants.

With a total duration of 25 hours and delivered in person, the initiative is organised into five modules. In addition to theoretical sessions, visits and seminars, participants will also have the opportunity to take part in practical workshops, including activities in the field of photography.

One of the programme’s main challenges involves the development of an individual creative project. Each participant must compile a photographic portfolio, accompanied by an oral presentation, in which they explore their vision of Portugal and the experience of the diaspora.

This is yet another initiative through which the António Pargana Foundation reinforces its commitment to bringing the new generations of the diaspora closer to Portugal, promoting cultural dialogue and the active involvement of young people in the construction of a contemporary and global Portuguese identity.
