On 8 May 2026, the António Pargana Foundation organised a visit to Casa Ermelinda Freitas as part of an academic programme aimed at students from the ISCSP – Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences, of Portuguese descent and Portuguese speakers.
The group of around 40 students was warmly welcomed by the team at Casa Ermelinda Freitas, during a visit characterised by the sharing of knowledge, institutional engagement and the celebration of Portugal’s agricultural and cultural heritage.
During the visit, participants had the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the company’s history, its development within the wine sector, and the principles underpinning the brand’s national and international recognition. The students were also able to broaden their knowledge of wine production processes, from the vineyard through to the final stage of bottling, gaining an understanding of the high standards of quality, innovation and sustainability associated with the company’s operations.
The António Pargana Foundation highlighted the importance of this educational experience for the participants’ development, emphasising the value of direct contact with leading national companies that contribute to the enhancement of the region, the economy and Portuguese identity.
The António Pargana Foundation would like to thank Casa Ermelinda Freitas for the warm welcome we received.
