António Pargana was honoured with the “Diaspora Entrepreneur” award at the Portugal Nação Global Forum Gala, a ceremony that brought together prominent figures and recognised the contribution of Portuguese people living abroad to Portugal’s economy and international standing.

This award highlights the remarkable career of António Pargana, whose business activities abroad have helped to strengthen Portugal’s presence and credibility in international markets, establishing him as a true ambassador for national talent and entrepreneurial spirit.

The award was presented by Emídio Sousa, Secretary of State for Portuguese Communities, who, in his speech, highlighted the essential role of the diaspora in promoting Portugal’s standing in the world, emphasising the importance of leaders who, like António Pargana, maintain an active connection to the country whilst building bridges across borders.

Visibly honoured, António Pargana expressed his gratitude for the recognition, emphasising that this award represents not only an individual journey, but also a reflection of his origins and the values that have always guided him. He further stressed the importance of keeping the connection to Portugal alive, stating that it is in one’s roots that identity and the strength to continue growing are found.
