The António Pargana Foundation today celebrated another cooperation protocol with the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon (FLUL), reinforcing the commitment of both institutions to the promotion of knowledge, research, culture and the appreciation of the Portuguese language.
The signing ceremony took place at the Faculty of Arts and was attended by the Director of FLUL, Professor Hermenegildo Fernandes, and the Administrator of the António Pargana Foundation, Diogo Feio, who formalized this collaboration agreement.
With the signing of this protocol, the António Pargana Foundation and the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon reaffirm their desire to develop joint projects that promote education, research, culture and the appreciation of the Portuguese language. The partnership will also seek to encourage initiatives aimed at Portuguese communities in the diaspora, fostering academic, cultural, and scientific exchange, bringing students, researchers, and institutions closer together, and strengthening the connection of Portuguese people and those of Portuguese descent with Portugal’s historical, linguistic, and cultural heritage.
Founded in 1911, the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon is one of the most prestigious Portuguese institutions dedicated to teaching and research in the areas of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Cultural Studies. With a strong international dimension, it welcomes students, researchers, and professors of various nationalities and develops intense scientific and cultural activity, establishing itself as a center of excellence in the production and dissemination of knowledge and in the promotion of the Portuguese language and culture.
The Faculty of Arts also plays a significant role in Portugal’s international standing through research, the teaching of Portuguese as a foreign language, and close collaboration with universities, research centers, and Portuguese communities around the world.
