The School of Startups for Students is an initiative of the António Pargana Foundation, carried out in partnership with UPTEC – Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto, which reinforces its commitment to innovation, knowledge and youth entrepreneurship.
With the aim of promoting knowledge of Portugal’s history, culture and scientific and technological capabilities, the António Pargana Foundation strengthens the connection between the diaspora and its descendants to the country through initiatives that bring young talent closer to the national innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
This free programme aimed to transform students of Portuguese descent into potential entrepreneurs and was open to students from all levels of study, from universities and polytechnic institutes. Over four days, this second edition included an intensive programme with practical workshops, corporate visits, talks with entrepreneurs and training activities.
The main objective of the initiative was to provide participants with a solid understanding of the economic, industrial and innovation context of the Northern region, as well as to develop essential skills for the ideation, validation and communication of projects.
In this edition, the initiative was attended by 18 students of four nationalities, reinforcing the international and inclusive nature of the programme.
