The António Pargana Foundation (FAP) has taken a further step towards strengthening its links with the academic world with the recent visit by its executive director, Diogo Feio, to the University of Minho, an institution with which it has a partnership agreement.

During the session, aimed at students of Portuguese descent and Portuguese speakers, Diogo Feio presented the FAP’s mission and main areas of activity, whilst also announcing the launch of a new programme to be developed in conjunction with the university in the coming academic year.

The meeting was notable for the strong participation of the students, who actively contributed suggestions and ideas for initiatives they would like to see included in the programme. This involvement was considered “an excellent contribution” by the foundation, which aims for the project to reflect the real expectations and interests of young people.

FAP emphasises that this collaborative approach is central to its strategy, reinforcing the importance of working closely not only with higher education institutions, such as the University of Minho, but also directly with students.

With this initiative, the foundation reaffirms its commitment to promoting the active participation of young people and to developing educational and cultural programmes that are more closely aligned with their communities and needs. The programme will now be developed based on the contributions received and is expected to be announced shortly.
